Group Description: We want to build a foundation in Christ for the next generation. We will begin each night at the church. We will open with a short message from God’s Word and a time for Q&A. After that, we will explore downtown Wyandotte! Each week, we will find a place to go in town to enjoy our city and get to know each other better. Activities will include going to the park, arcade, coffee shop, and ice cream parlor.

 A Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University Small Group

Hey friends! 👋 We’re so excited to lead Comeback to Financial Peace this semester at Comeback City Church! If you’ve ever felt stressed about money, overwhelmed by debt, or just wish you had a better plan, this is the place for you.

We’ll meet virtually on Tuesdays from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM ET — so you can join us from your couch, your kitchen table, or anywhere comfy! Pajamas? Totally allowed. Snacks? Absolutely encouraged. 😄

This is a safe, judgment-free zone — no shame, no embarrassment, no “should have known better” lectures. We’re all figuring this out together as we walk through Dave Ramsey’s proven plan, the Baby Steps.

Our goal? To ditch the money stress and start winning with our finances — one step, one class, and one small victory at a time. We’ll celebrate wins, laugh a little, and encourage each other along the way.

Group Description: Our group will meet every other Friday beginning September 12. We will be reading through a small book, “Companions in the Darkness: Seven Saints Who Struggled with Depression and Doubt.” A copy of the book will be provided at the first small group session. The author, Diana Gruver, “…looks back into church history and finds depression—and the doubt and spiritual darkness that often go along with it—in the lives of some or our most beloved saints…including Martin Luther, Charles Spurgeon and Mother Teresa.” She “…tells their stories in fresh ways, taking from each a particular lesson that can encourage or guide those who suffer today.” Diana’s goal in writing this book is to “…offer practical wisdom for both those in the darkness and those who care for them.” When we meet we will be reviewing, reflecting and sharing what was meaningful to us from each chapter we read. Our goal is to be encouraged, find hope and strengthen our faith as we navigate our own spiritual and mental health journeys.
